This wheat straw is harvested on our family farm in Condren, in the Aisne. Choose the format that suits your needs: a compact, easy-to-handle small bale, a round bale, or a large square bale whose shape makes storage, handling and transport easier.
Storage
Keep away from rain and moisture, in a dry, ventilated place.
Use
Straw, less nutritious than hay, is mainly used as comfortable, absorbent bedding for cattle, horses, sheep and goats, in the barn or stable box. In small bales, it is also suitable as bedding for small animals and poultry coops, where it makes cleaning easier, and as garden mulch.
Transport
Bales can make your vehicle dirty: they easily leave stalks and bits of straw behind. For transport, a small trailer or a suitable bag is preferable.
