Oats are a reference cereal for equine feeding, valued for their high fibre content and gradual energy release, gentler than corn or barley. This 25kg bag comes from our own harvest, grown on our farm in Condren, in the Aisne. It is also very well suited to poultry and backyard birds as a supplement to other cereals.
Storage
Store in a dry, ventilated area, away from light and rodents.
Use
For horses, oats are distributed whole or rolled depending on the animal's teeth and age, as a supplement to forage, with quantity adapted to activity level. For poultry, they can be given alongside more energy-rich cereals such as corn.
