Dehydrated sugar beet pulp is a by-product of sugar production, widely used in equine feeding as a source of digestible fibre and gentle energy, without the drawbacks of excess cereals. This 25kg bag is particularly suited to older horses, horses in work, or those with difficulty chewing conventional forage.

Conservation
Store unrehydrated, in a dry, ventilated place, away from moisture – dry pulp very easily absorbs ambient water, including from the air. Once rehydrated, it must be used quickly (within 24 hours) and does not keep.

Use
Essential: dehydrated pulp must be soaked in water for several hours (ideally 12 hours, or at least 1 hour for quick-soak pulp) before being given to the horse, to avoid any risk of choking or colic linked to swelling in the stomach. Once rehydrated, it is distributed as a supplement to hay, especially for horses needing to gain weight or requiring extra hydration in their ration.
