This whole grain barley, packaged in a 25kg bag, is grown and harvested on our family farm in Condren, in the Aisne. A versatile cereal, it is used both for livestock feed (cattle, sheep) and for backyard poultry, as a supplement to other cereals such as wheat or corn.
Storage
Store in a dry, ventilated place protected from rodents, ideally in a silo or airtight bin.
Use
For livestock, barley is generally distributed cracked or rolled to aid digestion (see our rolled barley for an already-processed product). As whole grain, it is well suited to adult poultry as a supplement to their usual ration.
