Rolled barley is obtained by crushing the grain, which greatly facilitates digestion by animals while retaining its energy value. This 25kg bag comes from our family farm in Condren (Aisne). Rolling makes this barley particularly suited to cattle, horses and poultry, which digest whole grain less easily.
Storage
Store in a dry, ventilated place away from moisture. Rolled barley oxidises faster than whole grain: aim to use it within 2 to 3 months of purchase.
Use
Distributed as a supplement to the base ration (fodder, hay) for cattle and horses, in a quantity adapted to the animal's weight and activity. For poultry, it easily blends into a cereal mix thanks to its more digestible texture.
